It is safe to refer to the Baltic coast in the Kaliningrad Region as an “amber talisman”. Everyone visiting this region takes away unforgettable experiences, the smell of the Baltic Sea and pine trees, memories of the streets, and amber jewelries. Amber does not lose color, it does not disintegrate after one hundred years like pearls do, but instead only gets more beautiful and expensive over time.
The largest deposit of amber (about 90% of the world’s reserves) is found in the area of Yantarny on the coast of the Baltic Sea. In April 2016, the beach in Yantarny was the first in Russia to be awarded the Blue Flag. The international award is given to coastal areas that meet requirements for high quality of water, safety and environmental standards. Yantarny is not just an amber quarry, albeit the only one in the world. Here you can also visit the Anna Mine, a church preserved in a perfect condition, an ancient castle, a beautiful German park with an exotic tulip tree.....
Our trip will proceed to Svetlogorsk. It is the largest resort on the Baltic coast of Russia. It is located on the coast of the Baltic Sea, forty kilometers northwest of Kaliningrad. In 1999, Svetlogorsk was granted the status as a federal resort. The town is located in a forest park. Each building here is ingrained into the forest. The town has attracted vacationers for a long time.
