Description:
The Cathedral is a unique architectural structure of the 14th century of the order of the state, which once existed in Europe. The Cathedral contained more than a hundred tombstones and epitaphs, executed at various artistic levels and located on both internal and external walls. The great philosopher Immanuel Kant is buried at the North-Eastern corner of the Cathedral.
Today the Cathedral is a concert and museum complex, there are two chapels — Orthodox and Lutheran, in the tower part there is a Museum of I. Kant. The Museum collection includes a variety of exhibits related to the history of Koenigsberg-Kaliningrad, with the life and scientific activities of the great philosopher I. Kant, recreated Wallenrodt library. The concert hall is home to the largest organ complex in Russia.
